Kristina Sarning-Haigh is a native Swedish freelance translator living in the UK. She has worked in the translation industry since graduating from the University of Kent in 2000 with a BA (Hons) in English Studies. She has been involved in almost every aspect of the industry: Vendor Manager, Local Approval Manager, Project Manager, Project Team Leader, Client Service Manager, Account Manager, Freelance Translator and Subtitler. 

In 2017, Kris completed an MSc in Specialised Translation (Audiovisual) at UCL. She currently offers linguistic work from English into Swedish and from Swedish into English. Main areas are market research and audiovisual translations (AVT), including subtitling. Other subjects include: advertising, marketing, gaming, gambling, e-commerce, gastronomy, tourism, sports/fitness and yoga.

Kristina is a member of SUBTLE – The Subtitlers’ Association. 

Furthermore, she is also a fully qualified yoga teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga.
