ProZ*Pay Payoneer account is a USD account. Therefore all payouts sent via Payoneer are converted to USD.
If your payment method is bank transfer your payout will be automatically converted into your local currency by ProZ*Pay payment processor (PaymentRails).
If, however, you would like to receive the payment in USD, you may contact ProZ.com Team by submitting a support request to send the payment via Transferwise.
3.11 - Is it possible to enter an account that I don't own?
We generally do not send payouts to another person's financial account for compliance purposes, unless it is a spouse. However, we may be able to make an exception.
We would just need more information from you:
The account holder's full name
The account holder's full address
The account holder's date of birth
The account holder's nationality
The account holder's relationship to you
The reason for using other financial account
The ProZ*Pay Team would review the information and make a decision.
3.14 - Payoneer: Will I be charged for the Payoneer transfer?
We are charged a fee for sending your payment via Payoneer.
3.15 - PayPal: Is it okay to receive my payouts to different PayPal accounts occasionally?
You can change your preferred payout method at any time via the Settings tab of your ProZ*Pay account https://www.proz.com/pay/account/settings. However, it would be an issue if the payout methods are in a different account holder name.
3.16 - PayPal: I received a payment through PayPal but I'd like to reverse it.
If the payout has been already sent, we are unable to reverse the PayPal payout since it was already deducted from our PayPal account. If you would like to have the payout reversed, you would need to contact PayPal and request the reversal. The request needs to come from the person that received the payout.
You could also log into your PayPal account, locate the transaction and select 'Issue a refund'. Once the PayPal payout is returned to our PayPal account, we will add the funds back to your ProZ*Pay account.
Boostlingo funds are available on the 25th of the month after it was earned. (Example: translation work earned in September would be paid on October 25.)
If the 25th of the month is on a US holiday or weekend, then the funds would be available on the closest business day
17.2 - Boostlingo payouts: The funds added to my ProZ*Pay account do not correspond to the amount earned.
Please contact the Boostlingo Team here to have your calls checked.
17.3 - Boostlingo payouts: Can I request my payment in advance?
If you want to withdraw your funds now, you can request an advance withdrawal from your ProZ*Pay account https://www.proz.com/pay/account/ by pressing the button “Request early payout”. Note that an advance fee will be applied because ProZ.com has not received the funds from Boostlingo yet.
3.18 - Can you please help in obtaining a copy of my earnings for my taxes?
We are only required by the IRS to send out 1099 forms for people that resided in the US and made over $600 during the tax year. 1099 forms are sent out on the 31st of January after the tax year.
If you should have received a 1099 form but have not, please contact ProZ.com Staff by submitting a support request . We will send you a W-9 form for completion. Once you complete and return the form, we will send your 1099 form.
If you are not a US resident, please contact your tax representative for more information.
When freelancers request paymenthttps://www.proz.com/pay/request from a client, an email is sent with a simple link for setting up a payment. Completion is optional, and there is no guarantee a client will use it.
3.21 - How do I request for someone to pay me via ProZ*Pay?
Offer link to the client for easy ProZ*Pay payment.
You will need to know how much you've earned and the email to send the request.
If your client agrees to pay you via ProZ*Pay, then your payment would be available once the funds are sent to ProZ.com.
The request link will look like the images below. Your profile is automatically included, so be sure you are logged in.
3.22 - How do I cancel the payment request?
The payment request is just the email sent to the payer, requesting to be paid via ProZ*Pay. It's not an actual payment until the payer accepts the request and schedules the payment. If you would like to cancel it, please feel free to contact your client and tell him/her to disregard the email.
3.23 - My client did not receive my payment request, why?
You may ask your client to check if the payment request was sent to the Spam or Trash folder.
3.24 - Is it possible to buy Proz.com products (trainings/features/services) with my Proz*Pay account earnings?
Yes, you can pay for ProZ.com products with your ProZ*Pay funds.
If you have funds available in your ProZ*Pay account, you can use them to renew your membership, or to request an upgrade, for example, from Standard to Plus. You can also use your funds to pay for training courses and events.
Right now, this is done manually by the ProZ.com team. Here's how it works:
ProZ.com's payments team will grant your membership (or chosen training), take the payment, and then send you the rest of your payout, minus the payment amount. Since we cannot withdraw only a part of your funds, we will need to send the remaining amount to your preferred payout method.
