SDL Trados (2021) memory update

Good morning.

There should be a method to update the SDL memory when necessary.
I mean that I see the yellow triangle before the memory icon warning that it's time to update it.
But there seems to be no possibility to do that (updating command remains gray).
I have an SDL package.

If the updating command remains gray your TM possibly hasn't been selected. You should click on it first.

Hi Lieven,

I clicked on it but then there is no concrete possibility to update it.
I think that the problem comes from the package.
Maybe memory features are "packaged" and locked.

I have all my memories with that triangle on a permanent basis. The triangle appears as soon as I add a single segment to the TM, even though I upgraded it 2 minutes ago. I gave up responding to those triangle alerts. Nothing has changed for me. Just keep working as is.

The triangle means that you have to re-index the TM Jun 16, 2022

This happens when you have many new TUs or when you add new variables.

To re-index the TM, select the TM, click "Settings", then "Performance and Tuning", and then "Recompute Fuzzy Index Statistics" and after that "Re-index Translation Memory".

If you also use "Fragment Alignment", you should also re-align the TUs.

I followed these instructions after opening the TM in the Translation Memory tab in Studio 2021.

Yellow triangle disappeared.
