Hello,

I'm trying to gather some information on WebWorks for a potential localization project. I haven't used the software before and I'd like to know if it has any limitations when it comes to working with languages such as Dutch, Turkish and Polish.

Does any of you use this tool? Can you point to some good resources for it?

Thanks,
A.

What version? Mar 26, 2009

Do you have any information about the version of WebWorks/FrameMaker?
You will definitely have to re-define some character mappings.

Thank you for your reply, Wojciech.

Unfortunately I have no information about the version we'll be using.

Since I'm totally new to WebWorks, could you please let me know what you mean by "re-define some character mappings"?

Thank you,
Ale.

That means setting target encoding to appropriate windows-125x codepage will not be enough to produce the proper output (for Polish and Turkish).

My 0,02 EUR - if you have no experience with FrameMaker/WebWorks, find experienced subcontractor or reject the job. This software combination is much too complex to be mastered during the weekend.
