Hi all,
Could anybody give me an idea of the rates that are charged in Euro for revisions and correction of texts? I have been offered a job by a colleague but I have no idea what to charge her.
Thanks
Marc

Rates for proofreading in Belgium
Jan 14, 2003
Hi Marc,
For proofreading, in Belgium, you usually charge your client per hour. The rate varies between 20 and 30 euros... Now, you can hardly tell your client how long the work will take you, since it depends on the text (level of difficulty, etc.), but it\'s better if you agree on an approx. amount of pages you can do per hour, in order to avoid any misunderstanding with your client...
Good luck!
Katia, from rainy Brussels... but soon in sunny Miami!

Revisions and Correction

The usual percentage is 1/3 of your translation rate, provided the translation is good and only requires minor changes.
