I understand that it is possible to use one TM for the current translation, and have a second TM open as a reference TM, that will be drawn up during the course of translation.

If this is the case, how is it done?

Easy! Nov 4, 2006

Hi, Astrid

At SDL Trados Workbench, go to

OPTIONS > TRANSLATION MEMORY OPTIONS

Select "CONCORDANCE" Tab > Reference (only-read) Translation memory.

Browse in your pc to find the required memory
"Start concordance search if no segment match is found" should be switched on.

Accept. That's all!

Regards

Thanks for the quick info, Clarisa!

I have been wondering about this for so long, but never have time to do anything else except wonder when I am just starting work on an urgent project.
