Help. I'm using the latest version of Trados (7.00). When I ask it to clean up a document nothing (apparently) happens. However, according to the log everything is in order. When I turn to the supposedly cleaned up document, nothing appears, except that some bilingual sections appear in the Header and Footer. Or the cleaned up text (or some of it) appears as a footnote.

Hi David,
Help. I'm using the latest version of Trados (7.00).
The latest version is 7.5 - which version are you using? (Full version number including the 'build number', please - go to Help - About... to find out.)
When I ask it to clean up a document nothing (apparently) happens. However, according to the log everything is in order.
What type of document are you working on?
If it's a Word document, have you tried creating a copy and running the tw4winClean.Main macro? (Use the forum search for earlier discussions describing the macro and its use.)
Best regards, Ralf

Hi Ralf and thanks. I think the version is 7.1. Yes, the document is Microsoft Word. I'll look up the macro as suggested. I don't even know what a macro is so i may have to get back to you! Best Wishes, David.

For future reference I submit the solution in such cases using Macro: In MS Word press ALT+F8>>Select tw4winClean.Main (Macro name)>>Run That’s is Pros: Problem solved Cons: You lose the chance to update your TM in case you made any changes to translation.
Regards Ahmed Wadan
