I have a Word file with a lot of format (highlighting, bold, italics) and when I 'clean up' the formating dissapears... HELP!!! What do I need to do for TRADOS 6.5 not to mess up the format???

use the Word macro instead. As you have already cleaned your file against the TM, so the TM is updated. Now you can take the uncleaned file, open it in Word, press ALT+F8 to go to the macro menu, then scroll down the macro list, until you find a macro called "tw4win.main.clean" (or similar - I cannot open Word at the moment to check) and let it run. This cleans your document without changing the formatting. Then you also need to open each header/footer and run the macro there also. I... See more
