My problem is about word count of Korean text. I have come across some software for this but how much reliable it is I do not know? Can anyone vouch for it?
Further I believe the rates for translation will vary from 0.05USD per word to say maximum of 0.10 USD per word. Will this rate be applicable for source word or target word if the text is to be translated in to English.

Hi Ravindra,
I outsource quite a lot of Korean translations (KR - EN and EN - KR) and I just use Word for my character counts.
If you paste the Korean text into Word then go to Tools - Word Count. You should see a field labeled
"Asian characters, Korean words"
You can also use the "Characters (no spaces)" count if you want the individual Korean characters.
My translators usually charge per source Korean word (they use Word count also which makes things easier) wh... See more

What is the software that you are using?
You will probably find that translators working in Korea will charge less than those working in the US, but yes you can expect an average of 0.07 per source Korean I would think.
