How do I open a .pptm file

My client has sent me a PowerPoint presentation in .pptm format which I am unable to open. This is the first time I face this situation. Can anyone help?

At least, three options available:
1. Upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007.
2. Install the compatibility pack for a previous MS Office version.
3. Try OpenOffice.org (open directly or via odf converter integrator that sometimes produces better conversion).
