Does anyone know if there is an affordable upgrade option from 5.5 Freelance to 6 Freelance?
Also, is it worth it as fas as new functionality is concerned?

Hi Csaba,
There is a variety of upgrading possibilities (including upgrading freelance licenses to SPS); the exact price depends on the version you currently use.
The most important new feature I have seen in a demo at CeBIT was in WinAlign, where you can now edit segments much more flexibly than with 5.0/5.5.
Can't give you practical experience yet, since DHL was unable to deliver the CD's so far...

As Ralf stated, it depends on the version you use.
I have TRADOS 5.5 including T-Window Collection and Multiterm iX. Previously I purchased TRADOS 3.0 and paid the full price (it was a pain...). Then I upgraded to 5.0, paying only something about 300 EUR (I don´t remember the exact amount). All further upgrades to 5.5 and T-Window Collection/Multierm iX were free.
So now I paid only approx. 69 EUR including shipment and taxes. This is no pain anymore...

Sorry for confusing some of you.
It seems, that the offer I got has allready expired. At Translationzone you can find only an upgrade offer for 295 EUR.
At the time I ordered (April 03) the offer was 45 EUR (plus shipment and tax).

I received an Early Bird offer from a Trados Representative in February for 195 USD plus Free Shipping (I guess the "benefit" of this Early Bird Offer was the free shipping.)
I did not upgrade it at that time, but I upgraded it in April for 195 USD plus 15 USD shipping. I was quite surprised to hear some other pricing for upgrading Trados 5.5 to Trados 6.0, because mine was about four times higher...
