Passolo Essential 2011 does not open the translation bundle

When I try to open a licensed translation bundle (*.tbulic) in Passolo Essential 2011 I receive the message "Cannot open file". But I open this file without problems in Passolo 2011 Translator edition. It is really strange, because Passolo Essential 2011 is more advanced edition than free Passolo 2011 Translator edition. Does anybody encountered it?

Hello Myron,

By design SDL Passolo Essential can't open a translation bundle. The reason is that the free SDL Passolo Translator Edition is more advanced and has much more translator productivity features than SDL Passolo Essential.

What is missing in the Translator Edition is the ability to create and maintain projects.

Dear Achim,

I have already installed the Translator Edition, but there is a problem with connecting SDLTrados Studio ad-in, which I described here: http://rus.proz.com/forum/sdl_trados_support/201386-passolo:_trados_studio_ad_in_and_itd_export_problem.html

Two versions Jun 15, 2012

In case others have this issue in the future, on my computer I have two versions of Passolo, the Translator Edition and the Essential Edition. If Windows is set to open Passolo Bundles with the first, it won't work.
