Date column required in the invoicing tool

Hi all,

I've just been playing around with the invoicing tool as I reckon it could save me a lot of time at the end of each month! However there is one thing doesn't seem to be available/obvious - I need a date column in the invoice so that each item has a delivery or order date. I can add extra columns in the custom template but then there is no corresponding placeholder for the date i.e. the current date.

It seems that this needs to feature in the "Edit invoice" part of the tool. Did I miss something? Would it be/Is it possible to add columns in this area? Personally I don't need the discounts column but I do need a date column!
