Hi,

We are looking for a number of technical writers for a French automation company. (Freelance and in-house). Many translators are also trained as technical writers so I thought this might be a good forum to place the ad but I wanted to ask in advance if it is ok to post a job on Proz for this.

Looking at what the Job Posting FAQ say...

What kind of jobs can be posted at ProZ.com?

Translation, interpretation, localization and other jobs requiring the services of multilingual professionals or companies may be posted.

...this might be considered a borderline case, but I'd say you're within the bounds. I'll have a word with some other mods who are active on the Jobs Area.
