I wonder if there is a tendency for language unification like, for example, unification of national standards?

It especially affects the languages of smaller nations, into which a lot of material is being translated lately (mainly from English of course). Therefore it might be called domination of certain languages because the smaller languages cannot contribute that much to this "unification".
