Hello,
I would like to hear from translators who have worked with agencies that use Beetext FLOW (and ask their freelance translators to do so).
One of my client has recently adopted this system and would like its freelance translators to use it. I am not very keen to have an electronic layer between me and project managers but don't know much about this product. So... all comments are welcomed!
Thanks!
Cheers
Pascal

Just to clarify (without trying to be biased as I do currently work for Beetext)
From a translators perspective, Beetext Flow will not result in any additional expense. The idea behind the system is to of course streamline the Project Management side of things.

I understand the concern about the electronic layer, but we are in no way replacing human contact or suggesting communication be cut off.
The advantage from a Freelancer's vantage point is that Beetext Flow enables you to see the jobs issued by the owner of Flow in a categorized environment... this is to say it indicated to you (as well as the PM) which assigned tasks have been started, what tasks you have been assigned and can start (when the workflow has reached your task) and of course what is upcoming.
It also enables you to create invoices in a centralized way for the LSP with Flow which you'll be able to track through the pay cycle - whether the invoice was approved, payment issued and you can indicate whether payment has been received. So it benefits the freelancers as well as LSPs.
Also (now the sales pitch) Beetext now offers VirtualOffice which is the same type of management system, but catered to freelancers. www.beetext.com/vo.php
I'll be watching this post should you have more questions...
