Reading suggestion Feb 3, 2014

A couple of months ago I read a very interesting book, "The evolution of language" by Tecumseh Fitch. The book gives an overview of everything that is known to date about the subject.
At the end, it seems that music is indeed the greatest contender for the position of 'precursor of language'.
