Job Description:

We seek experienced Kurdish (Sorani) to English translators and editors to join our team.
This is a freelance, remote contract position for our client in the following pairs: Kurdish (Sorani) to English

The work is for our military client and requires full U.S. citizenship to translate vital records, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts. Your role will consist of translating and editing various types of documentation that is confidential.

Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

1) A near-native speaker of Kurdish (Sorani) and native English.
2) Bachelor’s Degree in Translation or equivalent.
3) A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.
4) Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive.
5) A team player, with excellent communication skills.
6) Must be equipped with up-to-date Windows software.
7) Preferred ATA certified.
8) Excellent formatting skills.
9) Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines.
10) Able to provide per-word rates for either translations and editing or both.

*Payment is based on a per-word rate in USD.
