Suggestions for a venue ... please participate in this discussion Sep 6, 2011

Judging by past experience we still haven't found our ideal spot for our Toronto powwow.
the möwenpick is too confusing and difficult to book, the Bodega is too expensive and our last attempt, the Madison Pub is too noisy (and we stubled upon some really bad service as well).
The Espresso Bar Mercurio has started closing at 7-30 p.m. so that's not an option either.

However, I'm open to all suggestions you may have.

Booked a table at Peridot Bistro for 7 p.m. Friday night Sep 21, 2011

The Damas Meditteranean Grill sounded nice, but Victoria Park and Lawrence is too far away for anyone coming from the western part of the city (or outside the city). Better to stay on the central sections of the Subway-lines

if you're a new driver Sep 23, 2011

It may be a good idea to park the car somewhere cheaper and take the subway to Yonge/Bloor. The venue is really just steps (100-150 steps) from the Subway exit, and parking in the area is not cheap...

Too bad, I missed it Sep 25, 2011

Hope it was a fun night out nonetheless! I think we can try going to the patio at Remy's next time (if it's still open by then as we're progressing into the winter months...)

Too bad for those who missed the event Sep 26, 2011

I really enjoyed meeting translators and talking about translator-stuff for a few hours.
Just a reminder: Anyone can volunteer to organize a powwow, so if you feel like, just throw your name in-

Too bad I missed it, too Sep 28, 2011

For some reason, I stopped getting notifications about the upcoming powwows. There must a field somewhere that needs to be checked, but I can't figure out where.
Anyway, I'd love to see all of you next time
