But I would only when pay is reasonable and project interesting. However, I've never come across such opportunity. | | | AWa (X) Local time: 23:05 English to German + ... Another No here | Jul 3, 2009 |
I keep glossaries and the like for each client, but they are just for me to guarantee consistency in the translations. Luckily so far clients have not asked whether I do or if I would share them. Just like humbird wrote already: If a client would ask me to create a glossary and deliver it with the translation we would ahve to agree on a price for the extra time I spend on creating the files and for the expertise they contain.

I do offer it, and I have on many occasions been paid to compile, translate and sometimes "clean" glossaries, do terminology research and the like, it is a service I charge for, just like any other. I always keep project glossaries and update them as I continue to work on assignments, but I do not give them to the client unless they agree to pay for them. | | | I do compile them but I offer them as an additional service | Jul 3, 2009 |

I always keep project glossaries and update them as I continue to work on assignments, but I do not give them to the client unless they agree to pay for them. With some exceptions, I always compile a glossary for every project/client, but like David I do not give them away for free because it is an additional service. Besides, the glossaries that I deliver are not the same as the glossaries I use for the project. | | | I have done once | Jul 4, 2009 |
