Hello,

I have an old version of Trados (6.5) and need some help with the following:

1. When I click on the Trados dropdown menu I cannot view the menu properly (I can view the buttons in the bar but cannot view the list of commands in the dropdown menu, I just get a sort of light grey frame).

2. I need to insert a foonote in the text but I'm not sure there is a specific command for this in my Trados version (as I cannot view the dropdown menu properly)... See more

Can this unproper viewing be due to the fact that recently I installed other translation software programmes (I never had this problem in the past)?
How can I solve this problem and manage to insert footnotes?

1. Word menu: TOOLS > MACRO > MACROS > TRADOS6.dot > RUN.

2. Word menu: INSERT > REFERENCE > FOOTNOTE > INSERT

That's it.

If your problem occurred after installing new software you might be able to remedy it by trying to restore ("Restore") your system to just before that last installation.

If remedied, do not install that same software again on the same computer without expecting it to again interfere with your recently incapacitated one.
