Hello,
When I have a source .docx or .pptx file, I can translate it in the editor as usual, but when I click on “save file as translated” the saved files are corrupted and cannot be opened. Message is : “In the file [target file name] unreadable content was detected. Do you want to recover the content? Click yes if the source is reliable.” Then I click on “Yes” and I get another dialog window saying: “An error happened while acceding to [fi... See more

Things I would try... rename the source files using "save as" .doc/.ppt instead of .docx. Then reimport the new source files, translate until no match (which shouldn't take long...) then see if you can get a target file that works.
Contact the WF hotline about it too.

Thank you very much.
However, two considerations:
1) tags and segmentation in these "converted" source files are different from the original source files. I do not know if that can result in significant differences for the final output.
2) Do you think it is a normal workflow? What about having 15 source files to convert back in old format and eventually convert them again in new format?

Different tags... that's not a suprise but different segmentation is a bit strange, is there anything special about those docx and pptx files?
As for converting back to docx/pptx - I personally wouldn't bother doing it - but I would probably just check with my client beforehand to be sure they don't mind getting doc/ppt files back. I think most people (well, speaking for myself honestly) don't really care whether the file is doc/docx - and only use the "x" types of files because it... See more

I think most people (well, speaking for myself honestly) don't really care whether the file is doc/docx - and only use the "x" types of files because it is now the Office standard... but of course there could be some cases where a customer needs the x type for a particular reason. Especially for ppt, I think converting back and forth between ppt and pptx can cause some problems. ▲ Collapse
