My feeling tells me that 'of the flesh' is subtly different in this context. Of the flesh would seem to mean physical as opposed to spiritual, whereas "out' refers to the spirit leaving the body - as I understand it.

Throughout his theological discourse, Paul separates the new covenant of the Spirit from the old covenant of the flesh. The flesh represents the world as power, wealth and human desire. Living in the Spirit, through faith in Eashoa Msheekha, can never be reconciled with living in the world.
