Dutch term

afstandhouder

Dutch to English Other Military / Defense equipment
In a document detailing the equipment that will be on board a vehicle. This is the only time this word is used.

Het dakrek is bestemd voor het opbergen van de camouflagenetten, afstandhouders en ruithoezen.

I found strut, spacer, brace on eurodicautom, but don't know which would be suitable here. TIA

Frames

I think these might be metal frames that can be mounted or stowed away on the rack. Just a vague idea that these objects are sometimes called "outriggers". So outrigger frames might be a solution. If this is a military vehicle it could make sense. I imagine them to be a light protective framework. Hope it helps.
Peer comment(s):

agree vic voskuil : difficult without further context. But even if you´re not on the right track, then a frame is a nice neutral term here which would always be applicable

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Many thanks to all. Sorry for the delay in awarding points. Went with this in the end although struts could have worked too."

strut

Defence Research Development Organisation site mentions hydro-gas struts as equipment on board vehicles with other equipment similar to that you list. Hope this site gives you some ideas.
