additional info I had looked up the French meaning too, but it didn't give me any ideas. On each payment slip, the number of 'contracturen' and 'avenanturen' is the same. No extra hours have been worked, only once the number of hours listed.

avenant is a French word meaning pleasant. In relation to insurance avenant means additional clause.

I suspect this means optional extra hours

As 'avenant' seems to be French for 'additional clause', I'm guessing that these are additional hours, or flex hours.
