Dutch term

Bombages

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Food & Drink Pet food
The term is taken from an Excel spreadsheet regarding the process of pet food production (canned food).

In this specific instance they describe measures that must be taken in case something goes wrong (related to the ambient temperature):

1. Stop het proces.
2. Regel de temperatuur opnieuw af.
3. Blokkeer product via PRO_002.
4. Volg "Deviation procedure" CP 31.600 (QA).

This is then followed by

'Verification':

1. HACCP rapport
2. MPS rapport
3. F0 meting
4. Bombages
5. Interne audits
6. Externe audits (NQS/ NQMS, ISO 9.001 en 22.000, VWA)

Any idea what this term could mean in this context?

The suggestion provided by Kamilw seems plausible, but could crowning also be an option (as in the top part of the can)?

bulging cans

Bombage (French) is the bulging of cans with food due to unwanted microbiological or chemical reactions or physical processes, it is usually a sign that the food is off, so it would match in the context of canned food. But why is it mentioned alongside admin actions like reports and audits? Can it refer to checking the product batches for bulging/spoilt cans?
Peer comment(s):

agree MoiraB : 'bulging'. Assuming it's borrowed from French, Grand Dictionnaire Terminologique describes 'bombé' (bulged) as relating to deformation of the ends of a metal can (convex) and gives 'bulging' for bombage. Same term in Termium http://tinyurl.com/32fdr4x

Thanks! I actually know this term from my language where it is also borrowed from French and means just this (it's spelt 'bombaż').
