Chinese term

物理即是悟理

Chinese to English Other Linguistics
我常說物理即是悟理,經過物理教育,我具更清楚的邏輯分析能力,對處理事務更為細膩,對爾後研習電腦科學,更可謂得心應手.

Is there a way of expressing it in English that will not have its original wit lost on the reader? Maybe words that sound the same perhaps?

physics is reason apprehending

这是个谐音。悟理,悟明道理。

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "thanks. this is the closest that we could get to a pun without sounding 牽強"

TRY

I thin the best way is to omit the phrase in translation. There is no such a word that is pronounce or spelled similarly to physics which can hint the later half of the Chinese sentence. Pun in one language most often cannot find an counterpart in another language. If you insist on using a pun, it would sound very 牽強。

物理即"悟理",要是真懂了,完全没必要做太多题.但物理题一定要做细,所谓细,就是要彻底理解题目要考察的物理原理,例如在做完一道题后,可以想想,如果要求另一个物理量呢?要是条件变化了呢?以此来营造新的物理情景.这样的确会比较费时间,但时常选上一两道题这样琢磨一番,是相当有帮助的.

physics means understanding law of motion

物理学采用数学工具研究事物的运动规律。作者的“论据”有问题:训练逻辑思维能力的是数学,而不是物理学。

高等数学(或数学分析)才能锻炼逻辑思维能力。所以,学数学的人编写软件有优势。
