liv

Visst går det att flytta ut fönster till det nya fasadlivet, men fortfarande kvarstår problemet med taksprång och sockelliv.
What does liv mean here after fasad and sockel?

perimeter

I found (with some difficulty) this definition -- Sockelliv = Linjetåg med sockelhörn som brytpunkter; Fasadliv = Linjetåg med hushörn som brytpunkter.

The references seems to be talking about the same thing. See what more you can find 'facade perimeter', 'exterior wall perimeter', and similar.

surface

I am not sure, and maybe I am wasting your time, but visiting a web-site (see the link) you can see a vase. And we read:
"Liv med figurscen i form av kurtiserande par".

It means that the mentioned picture is on the surface of the vase.
So, maybe, liv means "surface" in this case too?
