residual intracanalicular tumor/tumour?

Hi Mike,

Sorry this is pretty literal.

Despite typos in your text, "intracanalicular" definitely seems to be the correct term, and would mean "inside the channel/duct" but whether these are eye, ear or other ducts I do not know.

Direct references to "residual intracanalicular tumor" were not from English-language authors, so I daresay there are more widespreas, less literal possibilities. I'd consider this suggestion only in the absence of more educated opinions.

Good luck!

See entries for "canaliculus" on:

canaliculus (can·a·lic·u·lus) (kan”ə-lik´u-ləs) pl. canalic´uli [L. dim. of canalis] [TA] an extremely narrow tubular passage or channel; used as a general term in anatomical nomenclature for various small channels.

The page goes on to list at least 20 different canaliculi and also "canalicular" as an adjective. Unfortunately, no idea as to which one is meant in your text.

agree Dr Sue Levy (X) : residual is fine, so is intracanalicular if this is indeed an acoustic neuroma

intracanalicular tumor remnant / residue

This is what remains from an intracanalicular tumor. Remnant and residue seem to be almost equally popular - 343 vs 323 hits in Google.
Peer comment(s):

agree Dr Sue Levy (X) : I like remnant better than residue
