Sorry I did nothing with your searches - I posted a search with "hospital sink" to show that they are essentially the same as your searches - as far as the pictures go. What you might do is do a search and post concrete references where "slop hopper and drainer" appear in texts - not pictures
to show that your "correct answer" is correct - you should show some concrete examples of it appearing in texts
Mario Freitas Oct 3, 2015:
The slop hopper is the "expurgo", and the drain comes under it to take the contaminated matter down the pipeline. Trying to induce the asker to use "hospital sink" in her translation and not the correct suggestion is not a correct attitude and may jeopardize her work. The expurgo is NOT a hospital sink what-so-ever!
Mario Freitas Oct 3, 2015:
@ Robert, Try "slop hopper" and drainer separately, then "expurgo hospitalar", like the links I posted. You changed the link adding quotes to it in an attempt to say my correct answer is not correct, but it won't work, sorry. And if you can't see they are exactly the same, you have some problem with your Google.
airmailrpl Oct 3, 2015:
two Google links the two Google links you posted are search algorithms and show thousands of pictures and none of them show that "Expurgo hospitalar" => "slop hopper and drainer"
Mario Freitas Oct 3, 2015:
@ all, An "expurgo" is not a regular sink. It's tapered, narrower at the bottom, and ends up into a drainer. It's used to purge contaminated matter. It's not a hospital sink or a slop sink, whatsoever. The two Google links I posted in my answer show both the "expurgo" and the "slop hopper" so you can all see they are the exact same thing.

A slop sink is a regular rectangular sink. It's not the "expurgo". That would be to slop hoppe. It's tapered (funnel-shape), and it has a drainer on the bottom. So the entire piece is the "slop hopper and drainer". The slop sink is used to wash, not to dispose of contaminated matter.
