SPECIALISMS 🎯

👾Video Games – with three years' experience working in Production for Two Point Studios, a AAA simulation games company and child studio of SEGA, I know the development process, its needs, constraints, and priorities, inside-out. I'm also an avid gamer, who grew up in a household of video game lovers and creators, so you'll get someone who not only has expertise, but the same passion for games as you!

🍷Food & Beverage – I have always been passionate about good food and drink, and absolutely fell in love with Italian gastronomic culture growing up holidaying in Italy. I cemented that love while living in Bologna for half of my year abroad, and am excited to help make your culinary content shine in a native English tone.

📚Education – I've worked in numerous Education roles, both as a tutor and caregiver, and as a designer of a second-language tutor provider's pedagogical approach and training materials. I also studied second language pedagogy at the University of Bologna, where I learnt a lot about how the brain interacts with and best learns new material being taught in different ways. I applied my experience in Education at two higher education setting, and when I self-taught to achieve the CertTrans qualification, as well as in the over 20 hours of CPD I've completed this year already.

🎞️Audiovisual Translation – I have an educational background in cinema, as it was a central focus of my studies at both the University of Bristol and the Università di Bologna. I also spend much of my free time watching international, classic, and the latest films and television shows, so you know you're getting someone who understands the industry from a number of different perspectives.

EDUCATION & ACCREDITATION 🎓

I achieved the Chartered Institute of Linguists' CertTrans qualification in Italian to English in January this year, with a distinction and merit, and am an Associate member with them, meaning I've officially been recognised as a professional (member check page: ciol.org.uk/74058). I also have an Honours Bachelor's Degree in French and Italian from the University of Bristol, through which I also studied at the Università di Bologna.
