A couple was found dead in their flat at Jhika Gali on Friday.
Mohammad Safdar and his wife belonged to Sheikhupura and were staying in the Jhika Gali area here.
The couple had kept the gas heater in their room switched on and due to leakage they died of suffocation.
When their relatives in Sheikhupura were informed about their death, they refused to take the bodies saying they had no relation with the couple after they converted to Islam from Christianity.
The funeral for the deceased was offered at the GPO Chowk in Murree in which a large number of people participated.
The bodies were later buried in the local Shawal graveyard.

جمعہ کو جھیکا گلی کے ایک فلیٹ میں ایک جوڑہ مردہ پایا گیا۔
محمد صفدر اور اس کی بیوی شیخوپورہ سے تعلق رکھتے تھے اور یہاں جھیکا گلی میں رہ رہے تھے۔
جوڑے نے اپنے کمرے میں گیس ہیٹر چلایا ہوا تھا جس کی لیکج کی بدولت ان ک دم گھٹنے سے موت واقع ہو گئی۔
شیخوپورہ میں ان کے رشتے داروں کو جب ان کی موت کے بارے میں خبر دی گئی تو انہوں نے لاشیں لینے سے انکار کر دیا یہ کہتے ہوئے کہ جب سے جوڑے نے عیسائیت سے اسلام قبول کیا تھا انکا جوڑے سے کوئی رشتہ نہیں ہے۔
میت کا نماز جنازہ جی پی او چوک مری میں ادا کیا گیا جس میں لوگوں کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔
لاشوں کو بعد میں مقامی قبرستان شوال میں دفن کر دیا گیا۔
