With a background in journalism, my writing skills have been extensively developed. I have been a professional, independent, full-time translator since 2008 and provide copywriting services since 2000. If you need a reliable Dutch linguist, who has read hundreds of books about all kinds of relevant subjects and has been educated and professionally developed to write well, I can take your company content to the Dutch market (approx. 23 million speakers).

I can write and translate in a wide range of styles and tones of voice, adapted to the target audience. I have written for teenagers looking for new shoes and for notaries public who do not know yet they need translation services. I do my research to be knowledgeable about the subject matter and its usual terminology. I am familiar with many text types and always interested in learning new ones. I'm a dual citizen (Belgian and US citizenship), born in the US. Various friends and professional acquaintances have referred to my style as fluid and natural.

I am just getting started in the copywriting business having translated and edited Dutch to English texts for the past 2.5 years. Some of this work included copywriting, although given the stiff rates in the translating business, these jobs were primarily marked as revisions.
