The staff that have attended training are
keen to use DNA technology but do not
understand its underlying science. The NCID’s
DNA capacity is modern and capable but
having no database behind it, only allows
for 1:1 comparisons, e.g. scene to scene,
scene to suspect and victim to suspect. The
equipment and expert staff would allow for the
development of advanced techniques.
