"mundane" in English seems mean "ordinary, with nothing exciting or unusal in it; uninteresting?" I checked this term on Longman Dictionary of American English, it has this definition.

This term is from a book title "江湖在哪裡"
I translated it as "Where is Zorro?" or " Where is the Super Hero?"
Below is part of the introduction to the book:
This book was written in a lyrical tone that is full of feeling to describe the history and problems of Taiwan agriculture. The author mixed her experiences growing-up, the policies of agriculture over the years, the political environment, the international situation and a related inccident—the white rice bomb in which a young man tried to use a pseudo bomb to raise the public’s attention to the farmers’ difficulties -- and then under poetic writing, illustrates here the modern societal problems from not being close to the earth, not having feelings toward culture.
