: Yes, although I would simply go with "awareness of". What does it matter if you're fully or partially aware of the document's existence?

Thanks, Fiona. I think there is a difference. You could be aware that such a document exists without being fully aware of its contents.

It's not clear what "full knowledge" means - the alternative is partial knowledge, which implies that there's a document floating around in space somewhere, you're vaguely aware that it exists, but you don't know exactly what it says.
I'd suggest something myself, but I'm not clear what the writer was trying to say, and I can see why the asker posted it.
