French term

borne communicante

French to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) waste disposal device
This is a waste disposal terminal for the disposal of sharps and medical waste in pharmacies - I am not too sure about communicante - I can see a previous entry as first aid??)
It has a GPRS chip and complies with new regulations; that is all I know for the momennt!

It is for use in chemists - I will put your suggestions to client and see what they say - It doesn't talk however. I think you may need an access code to use it and that it is only for potentially infectious waste - I appreciate your answers and help.

not necessarily.... interactive or intelligent. GPRS just means it's connected to the mobile phone network, so if it contains a weighing device, for example, it might send a message saying "empty me!". I'm at a loss to understand how (barring Disney, for whom all things are possible....) a waste disposal unit could be interactive, unless "ouch!" counts. Why complicate the issue? What's wrong with "communicating terminal"?

intelligent

Just a guess. "Intelligent" is often to mean it can somehow provide information to the user.

talking

There's a talking recycling bin at Disney World. Maybe your product is an adult version?
