Possible solution from an old thread Jun 6, 2023

1. Download POedit

2. Open your .PO file and then go to File>Export as HTML.

3. Open the exported HTML file and copy all the text to translate.

Disfr can open PO files, and then you can export to a format that you can remove the source column from:
https://github.com/AlissaSabre/disfr

TranslateHouse (formerly the Translate Toolkit) has a commandline utility called pocount, which I believe can be used to do word counts of multiple files simultaneously. It requires a bit of computer literacy to use, though:
http://toolkit.translatehouse.org
https://docs.translatehouse.org/projects/translate-toolkit/en/latest/commands/pocount.html

Matecat can sometimes read and analyze PO files (Matecat is a free online CAT tool):
https://www.matecat.com

OmegaT is also a free CAT tool that can count words in most PO files, but you need to learn how to use OmegaT (it's not difficult at all, but it's less straight-forward than Matecat for this purpose).
