Both earlier replies are correct, but I would say that this is the best phrasing. In Swedish there are two different words, "diagnos" meaning the actual diagnosis applied to a patient/disease and "diagnostik" meaning the procedure leading to the diagnosis. Therefore, I would use "diagnostik" here. However, it is not incorrect to use "diagnos" also in this meaning.
Sven refers to the terminology of Läkemedelsverket (Medical Products Agency), and it is perfectly correct, but you can only find one Google hit where they use it, and very few for other users. On the other hand, the Socialstyrelsen ( the National Swedish Board of Health and Welfare) has some 70 hits for "medullär tyreoideacancer", and other institutions some further 100 hits.
