I don't know Jun 28, 2018

I seldom know in advance what will be my workload for the coming month (though I might have a rough idea as I have been working with some of my customers for a long time), and Summer time is even more unpredictable. Last year the workload during July, August and September was about the same, in 2016 was less than usual, but 2015 was quite an extraordinary year, in August I made for one of my clients what I normally invoice in three months. After the Summer has gone, we will see...

Definitely not any more! Jun 28, 2018

I can't take on any more than what I have had for the past couple of months.
I might just scale back a bit, because I might hit the ceiling for earnings with my present freelancer status, in which case I would have to bill and pay VAT. That sounds like a potential nightmare, I'd rather not earn that much money.

Increase! Jun 28, 2018

Obviously, I can't know what will be next. What I can say is that during summertime, work increases a little bit. I commit to tourism and hotels translations, so you can imagine that as the demands of users increases, the demand for works about translations increases the same way.

Stay about the same Jun 29, 2018

I'm working as hard as I want to, so if more work comes, I simply won't be able to accept it.

Very bad in Brazil Aug 1, 2018

The situation in Brazil is very, very bad. No work at all, and thousands of translators for one job.
Difficult to say what will happen as we have a Presidential election coming up, but judging from the three front-runners things look pretty grim. I know this is not a place to discuss politics, but one can not but consider the fact that one of the three leaders has been convicted of corruption (and is currently in jail), one is being tried for corruption, and the third is an ultraradical ou

Difficult to say what will happen as we have a Presidential election coming up, but judging from the three front-runners things look pretty grim. I know this is not a place to discuss politics, but one can not but consider the fact that one of the three leaders has been convicted of corruption (and is currently in jail), one is being tried for corruption, and the third is an ultraradical outspoken homophobe along the lines of Donald Trump. Things look bad.
