I am a qualified translator (French to English) and experienced editor and proofreader. I have the Institute of Linguists professional diploma in translation (DipTransIOL). My other qualifications include a degree in English and French and the United Nations Certificate in Professional Writing Skills.

I work in a variety of subject areas, including marketing and branding, international relations, environment, tourism, government, health and the arts.

For the past four years I have been working almost exclusively for a translation agency in Monaco. Clients include the Prince's Palace Monaco, Government departments, Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority, MC Channel television, the Princess Grace Hospital, museums and art galleries, luxury hotels and restaurants, real estate companies, luxury goods companies, the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation, cruise companies, etc.

I have worked on a wide range of projects and types of documents, including Government press releases on a daily basis, daily news articles, official texts for Monaco Government's website, leisure and business tourism magazines, monthly schedules of events in Monaco, hotel and tourism packages, speeches for Government Ministers, weekly Tweets for the Government of Monaco, certificates, literary translations, etc.

I also proofread and edit texts by other translators and private clients, MA theses, etc. I have extensive experience of rewriting texts written by non-native speakers of English.

I have also undertaken literary translations, including a romantic novel for the American market and "So Sweetzerland," a best-selling book on iconic Swiss products.

I worked in an international organisation in Geneva, Switzerland for ten years in a bilingual capacity and understand the needs of the Swiss market. I returned to the UK a few years ago after living in France.
