I'm a French national born and raised (mostly) in the French Caribbean territory of Martinique. Like most of my fellow Martinicans, I'm a native speaker of both French and Matinijé (a.k.a. French-based Martinican creole). I speak the Martinican variant and at least two continental France variants of French (France), as Martinique, being a French overseas territory, is filled with users of several variants of French (France) and half of my life was spent in continental France.
