I passed a translation test for an agency providing subtitling for major motion pictures and Hollywood productions. The recruiter informed me that my test was successful and sent docs to sign, among others rate agreement. For the language combination English-Swedish they are willing to pay $3.50/program minute for translation. Yes, USD 3.50 per audio minute is too low. The rate should not be less than USD 5.00/audio minute, which is the minimum.
