Bio

I am a licensed translator. I grew up spending every holiday in the US with friends that are like family. I studied in a bilingual school, and speaking English at home was encouraged.

I studied Opera (very interested in Art) for 10 years and learned Italian, French, and German during that time. After that, I decided to change my career and studied Literary Translation at Universidad Intercontinental, which focused on French, English, and Spanish. English courses included grammar, literature, and technical translation (Legal, Science, Medical, Technology, etc.) and the use of Trados and Wordfast. English courses also included content creation. French courses focused on grammar and literature. Spanish courses were very specialized in grammar.

For my Social Service requirement, I was assigned to translate to Spanish and proofread the Second Edition of Joseph Campbell's, The Hero of A Thousand Faces. A book that has sold over 1 million copies.

After graduating with an honors thesis, I started working in Translation Agencies, translating Marketing content, Medical texts, and Pharmaceutical documents, as well as academic transcripts and all sorts of legal documents (marriage certificates, birth certificates, etc.)

Currently, I translate for the Spanish publishing house, Planeta in Mexico. I have experience translating children's books to Spanish for them and proofreading fiction and non-fiction.

I also work for an Agency called GRUMER (Mexican Group of Edition). I have translated technical documents for them into English, such as Telecommunications documents for the IFT (Federal Telecommunications Institute), legal documents, such as Agreements, and political reviews.

Also, I often get clients by recommendation (mainly Legal documents, I cannot provide a legal seal as I am not yet certified by the Mexican Government, but I can have your documents signed and sealed by a legal expert for an additional cost).

I am very committed to my work. When I program my work schedule, I always set time aside to proofread my translations twice. I can also have it proofread by another professional, please ask.

I can provide invoices, and it will be my pleasure to assist you with your translation.
