I received a job offer in my first week of joining!

I have been a member since 2007 and most of my new customers have come through ProZ.com.

In less than a month, I have had more jobs than ever and I have already earned back the membership cost. If you are a quick learner, you will find more work than you can handle in a relatively short time!

It has always been very useful for me. I would recommend anyone to join ProZ.com. I got there some of my most exciting jobs. I even became a supplier for interpreting services for a very big multinational through ProZ.com.

Being a paid member for 2 years now not only tripled my clients, but also gave them trust and confidence to use my language services repeatedly. I am totally satisfied with membership benefits, including the support ProZ.com has given me throughout the years and counting.

I get occasional approaches through my ProZ.com profile, which in itself makes it worthwhile, because one smallish job covers your membership fee. I also use the invoicing feature and free website hosting, so it saves me money in those areas. As others have said the Blue Board is useful and could help you avoid some major headaches. ProZ.com also has a very high rating in Google, so your profile or KudoZ questions you have asked or answered (which will link through to your profile) are likely to come up in web searches, thereby increasing your visibility.

Most of my new clients now come from ProZ.com, and I have to say that fine-tuning my profile has generated some pretty good "matches" (clients that are willing to pay my rates for specific subject areas). I think ProZ.com is a great source of new clients and it is also hugely helpful in avoiding bad payers.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. I left my "safe" English teaching job and recontacted my old clients. It didn't take long and I was soon back on track. Thanks to ProZ I have made contacts with new agencies around the world. I have met colleagues worldwide and found new friends... Words are my passion and this is the ideal job for me with growing children who love to see me around. Using ProZ.com for the past 5 years has been and is invaluable to me. It provides a forum for customers to locate a translator to fit their translation needs. When running into problems or queries, the various forums on Proz are an excellent source of advice and collegial support

I've met several good translators here and get plenty of interesting work on a regular basis directly through my profile. That alone is worth the price of membership.

A few months ago I bid on a job because it called my name. The poster happily agreed to my rate and we've been working together ever since!

After several years of free membership I decided to change its status to a paid member ... and I regret that I waited so long!

J’apprécie également la possibilité de pouvoir obtenir des informations sur les agences de traduction et les donneurs d’ordre en général grâce au Blue Board (certes non exhaustif, mais ô combien utile !), et de l’aide en cas de besoin avec les KudoZ. De plus, grâce à ProZ.com, j’ai trouvé un client avec lequel je travaille régulièrement : espérons que cela ne soit que le début d’une longue série!
